November 2021 – After all of the fishing is done, the Wiregrass Student Angler Trail awards a $1000 senior scholarship. We were happy when they announced that this year’s winner was HBT’s Asher Peters. Applicants have to write an essay on how a memorable outdoor experience deepened their respect for the preservation of game and our natural resources. Grades and outside activities are also weighed in during this process. Asher will be going to Auburn next year to pursue a degree in agriculture. This is Asher’s second award this week. He was also presented with the Todd Farms Farm-City Scholarship this week for Scholastic achievement and volunteer service. Great job Asher for representing the Headland Bass Team!
