September 2019 – The Headland Bass Team came out on top after a blistering day on the Mobile Delta. 75 boats showed up to get the Wiregrass Student Angler Trail kicked off. Tough practices were a concern for our anglers. The team of Aaron Cherry and Hudson Choquette led the charge and came out with the first place slot. Their 8 pound bag was not easlily obtained. They had to travel north to try and find some cooler moving water to match their bite pattern. The next highest finishing team was Gracie Herbold and Asher Peters. Their 14th place finish required a trip north as well.
In the Junior Division our newest anglers got thier first taste of long hot tournament days, but they came to the ramp smiling with wonderful stories of the ones that got away. The team of Barrett Choquette and Cloie Peters were able to finish 6th.
Thanks to the parents, sponsors, and boat captains that made the day possible.
You can next see the Headland Bass Team in action on Lake Mitchell September 28th.
