April 2019 – Aaron Chery and Hudson Choquette were able to overcome multiple lost fish on Saturday to hold on to a top 10 finish in the Alabama BASS Nation High School Event on Lake Martin this weekend. The Choquette/Cherry team lead just one of Headland’s 5 top 30 finishes in the 100 plus boat field. They were followed by Andrew Davis and Cal McInnis who were able to remain in the top 10 with their impressive performance as well. Working through spotted bass and finding a solid limit before going after larger fish was key for both teams in their success.

The junior side was lead by Cloie Peters and Barrett Choquette who finished 5th. Not to be outdone an impressive BIG FISH was award to our other team of Connor and Clay.

The team was also picked up 2nd place in the 3 team award as well.

This wraps up an impressive 2 week run on Lake Martin for the Headland Bass Team. 6 TOP 10 finishes in 2 weeks. The team would like to thank their team mom’s who did a wonderful job at the house this week and with the meals at weigh in and with our boat captains that step up in times of need.

You can follow the Headland Bass Team next at Smith Lake for the conclusion of the Alabama BASS Nation High School Tiger Division Series. And remember that gun chance tickets are still on sale from our members and parents.
