April 2019 – After a troubling rainy day of practice on the Mobile Tensaw Detla, the Headland Bass Team bounced back with some great finishes at the scales. This long postponed conclusion to the 2018 Wiregrass Student Angler Trail was exciting. The 5th place team of Andrew and Cal were able to target their bass on free standing cypess in the back of creeks. Following behind them were Brady and Caemon who ran the river to get their bites.

Finishing in 1st place on the Jr Division were Cloie and Barrett. They were able to throw senko type baits under the cypess trees to weigh in ther giant Mobile 9 pound sack.

At the end of the series the Herbold/ Peters team ended up 2nd in AOY and the Cherry/Choquette team ended up in 3rd. Congradulations to the Iwin county team of Guy and Dunn for their winning season. Thank you to Tour Director Jeffery McCord and the time he puts into this tour for us.

You can next see the Headland Bass Team on Lake Martin for stop three of the East Alabama Trail.
