February 2019 – While other anglers were fighting off flooding conditions on every lake around the state, Headland was spared on the battle for Lake Wedowee. This was the first tournament of the newly sanctioned East Alabama High School Bass Trail. Alexis Grandstaff and James Quinlivan were able to get a 4th place bag anchored by her giant 5.39 pound spotted bass. They were able to fish points and put a great bag together. Following behind them were the team of Aaron Cherry and Hudson Choquette. Their bag was pieced together with largemouth and spots on plastics. Their plan consisted of points and rain fed pockets. Headland ended up with 5 teams in the top 10 and all finished in the top half of the field.

Headland had 2 Junior teams competing and they finished 3rd and 10th. We are very excited about the finish for the Fair / Sanders team. This was their first real tournament and they were very excited!

Once again this would not be possible wothout our amazing suppoert staff of captains, house moms, parents, and sponsors. Special thanks to Eddie for putting on such a great event and Wedowee Marine South for hosting.

You can see the Headland Bass Team next on Smith Lake March 9th where they will be competing in the second Alabama Bass Nation event this season.
