Headland Angler Herbold wins WSAT Scholarship

20 Nov 2018 by Mark Choquette Jr

November 2018 – It wasn’t just about bass and casts on Saturday. Our Headland High School Junior and 4th year angler Gracie Herbold was awarded the Wiregrass Student Angler Tournament Trail Underclassman Scholarship. This $500 award is presented to non-seniors along with a $1000 Senior Scholarship yearly. Applicants have to write an essay on how a memorable outdoor experience deepened their respect for the preservation of game and our natural resources. Grades and outside activities are also weighed in during this process. We are very excited for Gracie to receive this award, and for the long time friend of the bass team and Rehobeth team member Laney Skipper on her Senior Scholarship. We are very thankful for the Wiregrass Student Angler Trail and it’s sponsors for providing this opportunity for the students. We hope all our fans, friends, and sponsors have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
