October 2018 – The Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation state championship on Eufaula was won by Cole Burdeshaw. The former HBT and current Auburn angler finished with 38.79 pounds and took home $1500 for his prize. On the co-angler side of the tournament current HBT Junior Aaron Cherry finished in first place with 21.63 pounds.

Aaron was paired with boat captain Peyton McCord, another former HBT and current Auburn angler. Peyton was able to finish the event in 7th place. This finish put Aaron and Peyton as the 1st place team for the series. This makes them eligible for the Toyota Bonus Bucks Bassmaster Team Championship on the Harris Chain of Lakes in Florida.

The Alabama Bass Nation is the Adult side of the High School Tournaments that we fish throughout the year. It is open to 16 year olds and above. I know that the tournament directors were happy to have the assistance of some Headland Bass team members over the weekend.

The Headland Bass Team fishes next this weekend on the Mobile Delta for the 1st Tournament of the B.A.S.S. High School Tournament Trail.
